Open online meeting

Depression on Live, or Is It Not So Bad?

On October 07, 2021, at 11:00 AM, an open online meeting will be held for teaching staff, representatives of ministries, administration members of universities and school, as well as for EdTech and academic community on the topic: Depression on the air, or is it not so bad?

The rapid transition to online learning has affected the physical, emotional and social well-being of teachers and students. It is important to acknowledge the complexity and uncertainty of the current situation and comprehend that it is normal to feel overwhelmed, anxious, fearful, or stressed when transitioning to new teaching methods.

Although fatigue at the screen or virtual fatigue are not official diagnoses, they do exist. During online classes, information overloading occurs, and prolonged presence in front of the screen leads to mental and physical burnout.

The following issues will be discussed at the training:

• How to change attitudes to online education so that it was enjoyable and beneficial from the introduction of new technologies?

• How to build communication between teachers and students so as not to lose the sense of community in distance learning?

• How does the teacher's attitude affect students feeling about online learning?

• How to cope with virtual fatigue and maintain real health?

• How make your profession a source of satisfaction in any educational format?

Speakers:

Ekaterina Tsaranok, Director of Modern Education & Research Institute (Belgium),

Cholpon Sulaimanova, professor assistant of the department for public health of the International Higher School of Medicine (Kyrgyzstan).
