Justification of the need for academic discipline for student education

Obstetrics and gynecology are one of the main sections of the medical specialty, the purpose of which is to prepare a highly qualified general practitioner.


Based on knowledge of normal and pathological anatomy, topographic anatomy, normal and pathological physiology of the reproductive system of women, the symptomatology of the most important forms of pathological conditions of the female genital organs, mastery of the basic methods of examining pregnant women, women in childbirth, puerperas, newborns and gynecological patients, the student should be able to use these methods for logical substantiation of the diagnosis of diseases, to conduct differential diagnostics, therapy, prevention and rehabilitation of patients, to know how to provide medical assistance in emergency conditions of the mother, newborn and gynecological diseases.
