• The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) and TerraGraphics International Foundation (TIFO) have been awarded with a Grant for the “Development of an Environmental Health Educational Program” in the Kadamjay District, of Batken Oblast for Climate Change Resilience and Environmental Protection.

• Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) program, supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) collaboration with Tokyo Medical and Dental University. The development of a satellite data- and a regional chemical transport modeling-based air pollution assessment system and the formation of a research center for air pollution studies

• Implementation WHO Roadmap on Public Health and Emergency Workforce in collaboration with PHILA (Public Health Interprofessional Leadership Alliance) and Zhejiang University, China

• Joint Research Projects with Juntendo University, Japan. Cohort studies of non-communicable diseases in Kyrgyzstan

• Joint Research Project with the Ophthalmology Department of Keio University School of Medicine, Dr. Eisuke Shimizu. We conduct comparative studies by comparing images obtained through Smart Eye Camera (SEC) and a conventional microscope with a slit lamp.

• “Belt & Road” International Medical Education Alliance (BRIMEA) The Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance (BRIMEA) is a collaborative network focused on advancing medical education and innovation. Established to enhance cooperation among universities, medical institutions, and research centers, BRIMEA promotes the sharing of medical knowledge, technology, and resources. Its activities include organizing seminars, fostering joint educational programs, and facilitating research collaborations to address global health challenges. The alliance plays a key role in strengthening healthcare systems and public health governance through international partnerships

• The Belt and Road Medical Device Innovation and Application Alliance (BRMDIA) is a collaborative platform initiated by the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST). Its mission is to foster innovation in medical devices, promote global health advancements, and create a shared community for medical device innovation among countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. The alliance supports cross-industry cooperation, technology development, and regulatory science in the medical device sector, and includes members from academia, industry, and regulatory bodies across more than 18 countries.

International Academic Mobility Programs for IHSM StudentsThe International Relations Office (IRO) of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) invites students interested in expanding their academic and professional horizons to participate in international academic mobility programs.

International mobility provides an opportunity to undertake study, internships, or research practice at partner universities abroad, gain international academic experience, improve foreign language proficiency, and develop professional competencies in a multicultural environment.
Geography of CooperationIHSM has more than 80 student exchange agreements with universities and educational institutions in the following countries:
India, Pakistan, Germany, Italy, Estonia, Russia, China, Turkey, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and others.

Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1)IHSM actively cooperates with European universities within the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) framework, including:

Participation in Erasmus+ KA1 programs allows students to undertake study or internship periods ranging from one semester to one academic year, with the possibility of receiving grant funding support.

Austrian Ernst Mach Scholarship Program for Master's StudentsWithin the framework of cooperation with FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences, IHSM master's students may apply for the Austrian Ernst Mach Scholarship Program.

The program aims to support academic mobility for master’s students and includes:

• study or research activities in Austria
• scholarship support during the mobility period

Candidate RequirementsStaff members eligible for professional development programs must:

• have their primary employment at IHSM
• have worked at the university for at least one year
• have English proficiency at B2 level or higher (for international programs)

Organization and CoordinationThe professional development plan, implementation timeline, location, and host country are determined and coordinated by:

Financial SupportStaff participating in professional development programs may receive compensation for the following expenses:

• tuition fees
• transportation costs
• accommodation
• visa fees
• mandatory medical insurance
• daily allowances

Funding is provided within the limits of the university budget allocated for the respective calendar year.

Application ProcedureAfter approval by the head of the structural department, staff members submit an application through the International Relations Office or the Dean’s Office.
Applications are accepted throughout the year.
However, early submission is recommended since the volume of financial support is determined during budget planning at the beginning of the year.

Selection of Candidates for Erasmus+ ProgramsWithin the framework of Erasmus+ CBHE and KA1 (171) programs, the selection of participants for academic mobility and project activities is conducted based on a competency-based approach, ensuring transparency, objectivity, and alignment with the strategic goals of the project and the university.
